Abuja-Kaduna Train

The Kaduna State Government has released the passenger manifest for the Abuja-Kaduna train service AK9 which was attacked by bandits on Monday.
The Commissioner Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, SAMUEL ARUWAN, in a statement said the manifest showed that 398 passengers bought tickets for the trip but 362 of these passengers were validated as having boarded the train through the gate.
This is contrary to reports that over 900 persons boarded the train on Monday.
According to ARUWAN, the document also revealed that eight bodies had been recovered, while 26 were injured.
He noted that several of the passengers were noted to be unaccounted for as search operations were said to be ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) today observed a minute silence for the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack.
The meeting which was presided over by President MUHAMMADU BUHARI started with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, BOSS MUSTAPHA calling for a minute silence.
He said the attack led to the death of eight persons and over 46 people were injured with many others kidnapped.
