Senate President, AHMAD LAWAN, has announced that the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, will be passed in June next year.
A post on the website of advocacy group, Order Paper, noted that LAWAN made the promise at a retreat for top management staff of the National Assembly and National Assembly Service Commission.
Recall that the legislative draft passed the Second Reading last month, though fears were raised on the welfare of host communities. In the meantime, LAWAN has confirmed that the 2021 Budget bill will be passed in the second week of December.
