Your Everything on play station, WAVE 91.7 FM has held Season 20 of WALK FOR SAFETY WALK FOR SECURITY with the theme: WALK FOR NEW GENERATION.
In his opening remark, the General Manager, WAVE FM REX IGIRI urged Rivers people to stay away from crime, for a better society.
In his speech. the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps, Rivers State Command, SALISU GALADUNCI, said the sensitization walk was part of an awareness campaign for Rivers people to be conscious of safety and security.
Also speaking, the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP GRACE IRINGE-KOKO said the walk was part of sensitizing the populace on the need to work with security agencies in reducing crime in Rivers State.
Similarly, the Chairperson of Police Officers’ Wives Association, POWA, who was represented by Doctor CHINYERE WAGBARA called on Rivers youth to shun criminality.
Also, Chief Superintendent of Corps, IWANYANWU PRICELIA, who represented the Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps State in Rivers State, commended Wave FM for their efforts in partnering security agencies to curb crime.
