The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Professor MAHMOOD YAKUBU, as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission for the second term of five years.
This followed a recommendation for confirmation stated in the report of the Senate Committee on INEC, led by Senator KABIRU GAYA, which was submitted at plenary.
The senators, who spoke before his confirmation, described YAKUBU as highly qualified for the job.
